Wed – Sat, 8pm  |  Sat & Sun, 2pm

Esplanade Theatre

The world-famous Bolshoi Ballet makes it’s only appearance in Asia this year with Swan Lake, an enchanting dance masterpiece of love, deception, and drama, with 100 dancers performing onstage.

Set against Tchaikovsky’s lyrical score performed live by the 66-strong Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra, this interpretation of Swan Lake by renowned choreographer Yuri Grigorovich depicts the tragic love story of Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried to exquisite perfection.

White swan by day, human by night, Odette awaits an oath of true love to break the curse. In a cruel twist of fate, the scheming sorcerer Van Rothbart deceives her prince into breaking his vow to Odette with his evil daughter, Odile.

Witness the breathtaking evocation of the dual persona of Odette-Odille, the delicate swan and cruel temptress, in one of the most challenging roles for a ballerina.

Prepare to be captivated by exquisitely designed sets and costumes and the unparalleled virtuosity of Russia’s great Bolshoi Ballet.
