Two dancers from the Hofesh Shechter Company will lead a masterclass based on the work of Hofesh Shechter. Focussing on complex floor work and fluid movement phrases, the masterclass will include a warm-up based on Shechter's company class, followed by a repertory-based workshop allowing participants to fully experience the dynamic and detailed movement vocabulary that is Shechter's trademark.

This masterclass is taught by Edwaard Liang, formerly from New York City Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater 1. The masterclass will be a simple ballet barre to work on placement, technique and will include a warm up. Once warm, he will teach a short solo combining ballet technique with Liang’s choreography and movement.

Mercedes de Cordoba from Eva Yerbabuena Ballet Flamenco conducts this masterclass for experienced flamenco practitioners.

The session will comprise a ballet class and an exploration of Mats Ek’s signature choreography including that featured in Giselle.
