Kengo Kita, a young Japanese artist creates works with his skilful use of familiar everyday objects (like hula hoops, rubber bands and mirrors), refined sensitivity and bold treatment of space. His installation of hula hoops can be referenced to a manifestation of the urban mode of life. A created cityscape with strokes of lights that recall the beams from neon signs, homes and offices, a city that does not rest. The spaces Kito sets up are supported by fragile structures, and exude a serene, almost nostalgic air.
