Dance lovers know the pure exhilaration of watching unparalleled virtuosity on display. Expect nothing less in the Russian Ballet Gala which pairs two radiant stars from the acclaimed Bolshoi Ballet, Marianna Ryzhkina and Dmitry Belogolovtsev. The versatile Ryzhkina, adept at classical and modern works, has impressed audiences in the Bolshoi's premieres of John Cranko's Taming of the Shrew as Katharina and Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room. A recipient of prizes at international dance competitions and the Meritorious Artist of Russia award, she brings passion and grace to beloved roles such as Odette-Odile in Swan Lake, Giselle and Kitri in Don Quixote. Belogolovtsev with his heroic stature and powerful technique, astounds with his soaring leaps and turns. A frequent guest at ballet companies and productions around the world, he has garnered prizes and awards including the Meritorious Artist of Russia. Performing with Ryzhkina and Belogolovtsev are leading soloists from the Bolshoi Ballet, Mariinsky (Kirov) Ballet and St Petersburg State Ballet Theatre. Each evening's programme presents a different selection of favourite classics as well as contemporary works premiering in Singapore. Be enthralled by the grandeur and magnificence of Russian ballet.
