Esplanade's da:ns celebrates the spirit of dance and aims to bring out the love of dance. da:ns is for everyone and invites you not just to watch the shows but to participate as well. At this inaugural festival, enjoy a fabulous array of dance forms in performances, workshops and film.

Featuring the Esplanade Theatre's Centrestage series which presents works by world-renowned dance companies and choreographers such as Eifman Ballet of St Petersburg, Brazil's Grupo Corpo and Spain's flamenco diva Aida Gomez. In the Shift series at the Theatre Studio, innovation, youth and cutting-edge styles could 'shift' your notions of dance. Artists include contemporary dancemaker Tammy L Wong and Japanese experimental performance group Baby-Q. In the rapturous finals of a three-month long hip-hop dance competition, Overdrive, choreographer extraordinaire Wade Robson will choose Singapore's best b-boy or girl and share a few moves of his. Plus, enjoy an exciting mix of fringe programmes where you will get new perspectives on dance and a chance to put on your dancing shoes.
